HOW TO CORRECTLY PHOTO WALLPAPERS (part 2)
Wall murals differ in texture:
Smooth – are glossy and matte. On the second surface, drawings look better, and the first – beautifully glitters, which is preferable when printing photos.
The surface of the canvas is best used for printing subject art images and reproductions.
Embossed imitate leather, wood pattern and plaster. They are usually made on non-woven or vinyl substrates. They are easy to stick on the wall yourself. The texture imitating sand looks especially interesting, but it is very demanding in care, which is not always justified.
Laminated – this is more of a special offer, because it is laminated photo wallpaper on order. Moreover, this action can only be performed on vinyl and non-woven wallpaper. This is necessary to protect photo wallpaper from mechanical damage.
Some manufacturers offer customers wallpaper that repeats the structure, mats, linen, frost or tile.
Wall mural defines and image. According to this parameter, they can be divided:
Subjects – there is only one subject on them. For example, a portrait, animal or flower.
With 3D effect – holographic, volume effect is created. This type of wallpaper is best in harmony with modern styles in the interior.
Background is an unspecified image, but just a picture.
Panoramic – they usually depict a landscape.
The general impression of the room depends on the method of wallpapering:
Panoramic canvas covers the entire surface of the wall. It can be assembled from fragments or represent a complete picture. It is worth considering that it is more difficult to glue a fragmented pattern with your own hands, because you need to achieve the most accurate match of the pattern.
Zonal – occupies part of the wall. It can be a picture or a vertical fragment on the entire height of the wall. This solution visually increases the height of the ceiling.
Corner – stick on 2 adjacent walls.
Modular – occupies part of the wall and usually consists of small elements.
BY FINISH TYPE
By the method of installation, the photo wallpaper can be divided into the following types:
Self-adhesive – made on a vinyl basis. The back side is coated with polymer glue, which is protected with special paper. Very easy to paste. You just need to remove the protective layer and stick the cut to the wall.
Usual – for pasting, the cut surface is treated with special glue for wallpaper in cases where the base of the product is paper. When pasting non-woven wallpaper, glue is applied only to the surface of the wall.
