WHICH COLOR OF THE PLINTH TO CHOOSE

It is no secret that skirting boards are floor and ceiling. Today the choice is very wide and if the choice of the material from which the skirting boards are made is not difficult for you, then you may have to rack your brains over what color is best to get.

CHOOSE A FLOOR PLINTH

If this is a floor-mounted plastic baseboard, then the colors on the market are very wide. It can be used for linoleum, expanded clay, ceramic tile, carpet, laminate and not only. The range of colors is so wide that there is every chance to choose a skirting board that completely matches the coloring of the floor covering. It will look neat and harmonious. You can choose the right color, combined with the floor covering, if you install MDF skirting boards. They are also presented in a fairly wide range of colors. It is undesirable to paint either one or the other skirting boards, therefore it is better to initially choose the option that is combined with the interior.

The range of wooden skirting boards is not so wide, but this is not required, because they are mainly purchased only for parquet floors. Such skirting boards can be varnished by adding color to achieve the desired shade. The color of the skirting boards does not have to match the flooring. Very often it is white, classic. Often, for example, if there are some patterns on the floor, and the base is of a different color, the coloring of the skirting boards can exactly coincide with the patterns. There has been a tendency to select skirting boards in color to door trim. In general, the main thing is that everything is harmoniously combined, looks appropriate.

IF A CEILING PLINTH IS NEEDED
If you need to install a skirting board for the ceiling, in almost all cases the universal color is white. Initially, all skirting boards for ceilings were made of white gypsum, and then additionally painted with lime. Today they are made not only of gypsum, but also foam, as well as polyurethane.

Foam baseboards white. They are additionally coated with water-based white paint. If you want some other color, you just need to add the required amount of the desired color to the paint. Such skirting boards can only be painted with water-based paint. You can even paint plaster skirting boards using the same paint. As for the polyurethane ceiling skirting boards, they are designed to be easy to install, but not paint. They can be not only white, but imitate stone, wood, have patterns with gilding and not only.

For the ceiling, you can use not only the white color of the plinth, but also any others. But, it is better that at least it is combined with either the color of the walls or the color of the ceiling. White color gives a contrast, but very neat. It shows the boundary between the wall and the ceiling. It looks beautiful and refreshes the room. Today there are no strict, strict rules regarding the choice of color, so it can be any. For example, the walls and ceiling can be of the same color, while baseboards and door trims can be of another color. Only by changing the color of the baseboards, you can significantly transform the room.

If no ideas come to mind, you can see various photo examples. This will allow you to compare design solutions with a specific environment and choose what exactly fits.
